Living in The Deadline of Your Dash

Have you ever walked through a cemetery, gazed at the
headstones, and evaluated the length of the dash engraved on each one?
Some headstones mark the lives of people who lived beyond
ripeness and some people met the deadline of their lives before they were even
birthed out of the womb. Yet, amidst all those various grave markers, they all
carry a similar emblem; they all contain a closed dash. Each person carefully
placed into the ground has barred the deadline of his or her dash. The end has
been reached for them. The final timeframe is complete.
Thus, as you go about your daily life, living on the dash
preceding your unknown deadline, seek to fill your dash with what really
matters. Strive determinately to achieve the purpose God has put on your heart,
so that when your body is placed into the earth and the deadline of your dash
is engraved on your headstone, you can rest peacefully, knowing that you have accomplished
your purpose as you lived within the deadline your dash.
